On the 2nd, MiraeOhsungGroup Chairman Kim Beom-chang poses for a commemorative photo after receiving the certificate of appointment as an honorary ambassador from Jeonbuk State Governor Kim Kwan-young.
This appointment is a strategic move to realize Jeonbuk State's vision of a "Financial City Specialized in Asset Management," going beyond mere promotion to attract tangible global capital and enterprises. At the ceremony, MiraeOhsungGroup presented a blueprint to establish broad partnerships with global leading companies across essential industries required for the Jeonbuk Financial Town, rather than limiting the scope to specific countries or single entities.
Building a ‘Global Alliance’ Centered on 4 Key Sectors
Honorary Ambassador Kim Beom-chang plans to actively explore project participation with blue-chip global enterprises that align with Jeonbuk’s financial vision. The group will simultaneously negotiate with multiple global companies of similar scale and capability across four key target sectors:
Global Integrated Finance : Targeting major global banking groups and asset management firms capable of maximizing synergy with the National Pension Service(NPS) to discuss establishing regional headquarters and custody operations in Jeonbuk.
Mega-Infrastructure & Smart Cities : Seeking collaboration with global construction investors possessing extensive experience in high-rise landmarks and strong capital capabilities to develop the Jeonbuk International Financial Center(JIFC) as a world-class landmark.
Hospitality & MICE : Attracting top-tier global hotel chains and major convention operators to provide high-end business infrastructure and accommodation befitting an international financial city.
Digital Finance & Fintech : Engaging with global leaders in Tech-Fin, specifically those specializing in Security Token Offerings(STO) and Real World Assets(RWA), to create an innovative digital finance ecosystem based on Jeonbuk’s agricultural and bio-assets.

"Positioning Jeonbuk as a New Hub for Asian Finance"
During the appointment ceremony, Governor Kim Kwan-young stated, "Chairman Kim’s extensive global network will play a decisive role in expanding the horizons of Jeonbuk’s financial industry worldwide. We look forward to his strong role as a bridge, enabling global leading companies across diverse industries to discover new opportunities and decide to invest in South Korea's Jeonbuk State."
In response, Chairman Kim Beom-chang, a native of Jeonju, remarked, "Jeonbuk possesses a definitive source of capital called the National Pension Service(NPS) and a land of infinite opportunity called Saemangeum." He added, "I am committed to facilitating tangible investments and multi-faceted partnerships, ensuring that world-class companies in finance, construction, leisure, and IT participate as key stakeholders in the Jeonbuk financial ecosystem, without being bound to specific entities."
