艾伦赵琼巨幅作品将亮相2023年美国纽约国际艺术博览会

       2023年美国纽约国际艺术博览会即将到来(3月30日一 4月2日),作为目前世界上规模最大、艺术品交易量最多的艺术博览会之一,美国纽约国际艺术博览会40多年来成就了许多世界级的绘画、雕塑艺术家,包括安迪.沃赫(AndyWarhol)、罗伯特·劳森伯格(Robert Rauschenberg)、基思·哈林(Keith Haring),勒罗伊·内曼(Leroy Neiman),彼得.马科斯(Peter Max)和罗伯特.印第安纳(Robert Indiana)等顶级世界艺术大师,他们都曾在这里一举成名。亚洲展区如今已成为美国纽约国际艺术博览会不可或缺的重要组成部分,本届博览会上,由罗丹国际艺术家基金会和美国亚洲艺术学会参与组织的展区特别邀请了著名美籍亚裔实力派女艺术家艾伦赵琼参与,并在展会上展示她的部分浮雕作品和油画。艾伦赵琼是一位优秀的画家和雕塑家,也是国际影响力颇广的资深艺术策展人。近20多年来参加她策展活动的数百名国际艺术家和艺术大师遍布世界20多个国家。包括欧美亚洲,俄罗斯的艺术大师和青年艺术新秀。“与大师同行,艺术有灵魂,艺术无国界”。近几年她做的十多个大型国际艺术名家作品展览更是影响巨大,数百家媒体新闻电视等报道和转载,纽约时报广场纳斯达克大屏幕同时也配合了广泛的宣传。


       艾伦赵琼是一位不断创新的艺术家,她在艺术领域取得的突出成绩和对社会的贡献与奉献,2018年荣获美国国家移民大奖「艾丽斯岛荣誉勋章」。2019年在纽约联邦大厅国家纪念馆,第一任美国总统乔治.华盛顿就职典礼的地方,作为200多年来首位亚裔艺术家举办个人油画和雕塑艺术作品展览。2021年荣获纽约国际艺术博览会[艺术卓越成就奖]。40多年来的艺术创作一直关注人文情怀,作品具有时代责任感。移民美国25年,她的创作内容融入了美国历史题材和移民多元文化体验。她不分种族贵贱创作了大量的肖像绘画和雕塑。她的艺术作品曾多次参加国际艺术大展,被日本富士美术馆,美国革命历史博物馆(美国独立战争博物馆),美国国家宪法中心,华盛顿渡河战役国家历史遗址公园,美国华人华侨博物馆等多家机构收藏或作为城市公共艺术景观。特别是近十五年来她与罗丹国际艺术家基金会签约,根据美国历史油画改创的多件雕塑作品参与了博物馆、美术馆的捐赠和收藏。她主创设计并率领美中日国际艺术家团队协作完成了数件巨型大理石和青铜铸造的历史浮雕作品。其中包括青铜高浮雕[华盛顿总统率军横渡特拉华河](1.5吨重,3米高,6米宽),大理石高浮雕[美国感恩节历史场景再现](14.5吨重,3米高,6米宽),石雕[美国联邦宪法制定者](14吨重,3米高,6米宽),青铜浮雕[美国独立宣言签名者](1.6吨重,3米高,6米宽)等。浮雕里的开国领袖们都与真人的实际比例一样栩栩如生,40多位历史先贤们带着不同的神态表情置身于一个宏大的场景和画面中。艾伦赵琼用青铜铸造了美国开国元勋们不朽的形像,他们是美国历史的丰碑,代表着人类的的自由精神。


       罗丹国际艺术家基金会与艾伦赵琼签约完成的艺术作品除了捐赠美国革命历史博物馆和国家宪法中心等,近期还计划将捐给纽约联邦大厅国家纪念馆及美国印第安博物馆等。艾伦赵琼设计主创的浮雕作品追求历史意识和史诗品格,人物写实,场面宏大壮观,体现了高水准的艺术力量。此次纽约国际艺术博览会上她将带来巨幅油画和大型玻璃钢浮雕参展(each piece 3.3 feet high by 6.6 feet wide, weighing about 1500pounds)。

我们期待和关注,希望她再接百万大单,她的的巨幅作品为纽约国际艺术博览会锦上添花。

       艾伦赵琼. ( Ph.D Ellen Qiongzhao.Schicktanz) ,美籍华裔职业艺术家(油画、雕塑),文学美术史博士,国际资深艺术策展人。美国女神艺术博物馆馆长,罗丹国际艺术家基金会副秘书长。毕业于日本京都造型艺术大学,京都大学和东京早稻田大学。出版20多部著作。艺术作品自上世纪八十年代中期曾多次举办艺术个展并参加国际艺术群体展,油画和雕塑作品被日本富士美术馆,美国革命历史博物馆(美国独立战争博物馆), 美国国家宪法中心,华盛顿渡河国家历史遗址公园,美国华人华侨博物馆等多家机构收藏或作为城市公共艺术景观。1993年和1997年先后荣获日本富士美术奖,2018年荣获美国国家移民大奖「艾丽斯岛荣誉勋章」。2019年在纽约联邦大厅国家纪念馆,美国第一任总统乔治.华盛顿就职典礼的地方,作为200多年来首位亚裔艺术家举办个人油画和雕塑艺术作品展览。2021年荣获第43届美国纽约国际艺术博览会最高奖[艺术卓越成就奖],同时纽约时代广场纳斯达克大屏幕特别播放了艾伦赵琼获奖信息和油画雕塑作品系列。2022年7月在华盛顿D.C. 荣获(UCA)美国华人大会中华文化传承奖。


       As one of the largest and most activeart fairs in the world, Artexpo New York is coming in 2023. Over the past 40years, it has showcased numerous world-renowned artists in painting andsculpture, including Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Keith Haring, LeroyNeiman, Peter Max, and Robert Indiana, all of whom were established throughthis fair. The Asian section has become an indispensable and important part ofArtexpo New York. This year, the Rodin International Artists Foundation and theAmerican Asian Arts Association will feature a special invitation to Dr. EllenQiongzhao Schicktanz, a renowned Chinese-American artist, to showcase hermagnificent paintings and sculptures.


       Ellen Qiongzhao, a talented painterand sculptor, is also a highly respected senior art curator with wideinternational influence. Over the past two decades, hundreds of internationalartists and art masters from more than 20 countries around the world haveparticipated in her curated exhibitions, including Europe, America, Asia, andRussia. In recent years, she has curated over ten large-scale exhibitionsfeaturing international art masters that have created a significant impact,garnering coverage in hundreds of media outlets including news, television, andonline platforms. Ellen Qiongzhao’s works have even been displayed on the largescreens of Nasdaq many times in New York City.


       Ellen Qiongzhao Schicktanz is aninnovative artist who has made outstanding achievements and contributions tosociety in the field of art. In 2018, she was awarded the Ellis Island Medal ofHonor, celebrating the contributions immigrants and their progeny have made tothe United States. In 2019, she became the first Asian-American artist to holda solo exhibition of oil paintings and sculptures at the Federal Hall NationalMemorial in New York, where the first US president George Washington wasinaugurated. In 2021, she was awarded the Artistic Excellence Award at the NewYork International Art Expo. In July 2022, she received the Award of ChineseCultural Heritage at the United Chinese Americans (UCA) Convention inWashington D.C.

   

       Her art has always been focused onhumanistic feelings and a sense of responsibility for the times. Havingimmigrated to the United States 25 years ago, her creative content incorporatesAmerican historical themes and the multicultural experiences of immigrants. Shehas created numerous portrait paintings and sculptures without discriminationof race or social status. Her artworks have participated in many internationalart exhibitions and been collected by various institutions such as the Fuji ArtMuseum in Japan, the Museum of the American Revolution, The NationalConstitution Center, the Washington Crossing Historic Park, and the Museum ofChinese in America. Her works have also been displayed as public art landscapesin many cities.


       In particular, over the past 15 years,she has been represented by the Rodin International Artist Foundation and hascreated several sculptural works based on American historical oil paintings,which have been donated and collected by museums and art galleries. She led aninternational artist team from the United States, China, and Japan tocollaborate on several giant marble and bronze historical reliefs.


       These include the bronze high relief [WashingtonCrossing the Delaware ] (1.5 tons, 3 meters high, 6 meters wide), themarble high relief [Reappearance of American Thanksgiving Historical scene ](14.5 tons, 3 meters high, 6 meters wide), the stone carving [Scene at theSigning of the Constitution of the United States] (14 tons, 3 meters high,6 meters wide), and the bronze relief [Signers of the Declaration ofIndependence] (1.6 tons, 3 meters high, 6 meters wide), among others.


       Ellen Qiongzhao's works arecharacterized by a strong sense of history and epic grandeur, featuringrealistic depictions of characters and grand scenes that reflect her high levelof artistic ability. Recently, the Rodin International Artists Foundationsigned a contract with Ellen Qiongzhao to donate her artworks to the FederalHall National Memorial in New York and the National Museum of the AmericanIndian.


       At the upcoming Artexpo New York 2023,Qiongzhao will showcase her large-scale oil paintings and fiberglasssculptures, each of which measures 3.3 feet high by 6.6 feet wide and weighsabout 1500 pounds.

       Bio of Ellen Qiongzhao Schicktanz


       Dr. Ellen Qiongzhao Schicktanz is aChinese-American professional painter, sculptor, and senior curator with aPh.D. in literature and art history. She is the director of the AmericanGoddess Art Museum and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Rodin InternationalArtists Foundation. She graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design, KyotoUniversity, and Waseda University in Japan and has authored more than 20publications. Her artwork has been exhibited in solo and group showsinternationally since the mid-1980s. Her oil paintings and sculptures arecollected by institutions such as the Fuji Art Museum in Japan, the Museum ofthe American Revolution, the National Constitution Center, the WashingtonCrossing Historic Park, and the Museum of Chinese in America, and are displayedas public art in urban landscapes. She received awards in Japan in 1993 and1997 and the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in the United States in 2018. In 2019,she became the first Asian-American artist to hold a solo exhibition of her oilpaintings and sculptures at the site of George Washington's inaugural ceremony inthe Federal Hall National Memorial in New York. In 2021, she was awarded thehighest prize, the Award of Excellence, at the 43rd Artexpo New York. Her oilpaintings and sculptures have even been featured on the Nasdaq big screen inTimes Square, New York, on multiple occasions. In July 2022, she received theAward of Chinese Cultural Heritage at the United Chinese Americans (UCA) Conventionin Washington D.C.


WashingtonCrossing the Delaware” is a bronze relief sculpture by American Asianartist  Ellen Qiongzhao. Schicktanz ,based on Emanuel Leutze's 1851 oil painting of the same title. It is 10 feethigh, 20 feet wide, weighing about 1500 pounds.



“Signers of the Declarationof Independence” is a bronze relief sculpture , based on John Trumbull's 1819oil painting of the same title.  It is 10feet high, 20 feet wide, weighing about 1500 pounds.



“Scene at the Signing ofthe Constitution of the United States” is a marble relief sculpture , based onHoward Chandler Christy's 1940 oil painting of the same title.



“Reappearance of theHistorical Scene of American Thanksgiving ” is a marble relief  sculpture, based on Jean Leon Gerome Ferris’ 1915oil painting of “Americans’ first Thanksgiving ”. It is 10 feet high, 20 feetwide, weighing about 14 tons.
