中国旅美科技协会总会将于4月22日东部时间晚8-10点 ，暨北京时间4月23日早8-10点隆重举办线上《元宇宙》专题论坛。非常荣幸地邀请到了在元宇宙领域颇有建树的两位专家，美国纽约州立大学石溪分校数学系的顾险峰教授以及日本Dongba Tec有限公司总裁百强先生。本次论坛将由中国旅美科协总会会长郑芳林女士、学术部主席盛晓明教授、以及创新部副会长时瑜女士共同主持, 已得到了业界的广泛关注和大力支持。
主题一：GeometricFoundations for Metaverse 宇宙的几何基础
特邀嘉宾简介Keynote Speaker顾险峰教授:
David Gu is a New York Empire InnovationProfessor at the Department of Computer Science, Stony Brook University. Hereceived his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science, HarvardUniversity in 2003 and B.S. degree from the Tsinghua University, Beijing, Chinain 1995.
Dr. Gu’s research focuses on applying modern geometry inengineering and medical fields. With his collaborators, David systematicallydevelops discrete theories and computational algorithms in theinterdisciplinary field: Computational Conformal Geometry, and apply them forsolving real problems, such as global surface parameterization in graphics,deformable shape registration in vision, manifold spline in geometric modeling,curvature convergence analysis in geometric processing, efficient routing innetworking, brain mapping and virtual colonoscopy in medical imaging,etc.
He is a recipient of Morningside Gold Medal of Applied Mathematics 2013;National Science Foundation (NSF) Faculty Early Career Award, 2005.
