筹备多年的美中友谊历史巨片《美国飞虎队》将于明年在美国与多米尼加拍摄，向圣多明各好莱坞国际电影节献礼。
总制片人、总策划、美国好莱坞影视传媒集团主席、圣多明各好莱坞国际电影节执行主席王鹏飞博士11月13日在东湾阿拉米达市大黄蜂号航空母舰博物馆举行的纪念二战飞虎队80周年暨抗战时期美国援华空军《铭记英雄》历史图片展上告诉美中时报记者。

“飞虎队”全称“中国空军美国志愿援华航空队”，因机身喷有带翼的老虎队徽，被中国人称作“飞老虎”。“飞虎队”的创建人陈纳德被誉为“飞虎将军”。电影《美国飞虎队》就是以陈纳德及其“飞虎队”的英雄事迹为素材创作的。
退役美国空军四星上将，前美国空军参谋长福格曼（Ronald Fogleman）11月13日在纪念二战飞虎队80周年及抗战时期美国援華空軍“铭记英雄”历史图片展开幕式上表示，展出的历史照片中不仅有美军飞行员，还有支持飞虎队的中国人。中国人在支持美军的行动中发挥了关键作用。珍珠港被袭击后，美军考虑发动空袭东京（Doolittle Raid），先让飞行员飞到中国，与友军会合。却中途被日军侦查到，不得不提前离开航母，结果飞机坠毁跳伞，但有80个飞行员幸存，因为中国人愿意承担风险抢救护送。即使是在日本占领区，中国人也要把飞行员送到安全地带。另一方面，飞跃驼峰航线，中国人协助转运战略物资，对维持中国的战争至关重要。
福格曼说，飞虎队的主要作用不仅仅在于击落日本飞机的数量，此外还有两个贡献。首先，美军珍珠港被偷袭和轰炸东京前后，美国都在思考如何介入二战。飞虎队的英勇壮举，报纸大量频繁的报导，扭转了整个美国民众精神上的孤立观念，飞虎队鼓舞了美国士气。
其次，飞虎队和中国人民及军队未被充分认可的贡献，是牵制日军兵力。1940年至1945年间，日军总兵力550万，其中160万在被占领的东北和华南地区。因为中国军队不投降，不放弃，这意味着，当盟军开始接近东京时，麦克阿瑟将军从西南太平洋赶到日本时，这160万日本军力被牵制住，不能投入日本本土战斗。

据《美国飞虎队》总制片人、总策划、美国好莱坞影视传媒集团主席、圣多明各好莱坞国际电影节执行主席王鹏飞博士介绍，《美国飞虎队》的准备和拍摄开始于2010年，抗日战争胜利65周年在北京举办了新闻发布会，由秦剑导演带拍摄组去湖南芷江进行拍摄，当时美国前总统卡特和夫人见证了美国飞虎队在芷江的拍摄。因为疫情我们准备明年由美国好莱坞影视传媒集团与圣多明各好莱坞国际电影节有限公司联合在美国和多米尼加影视基地拍摄。
王鹏飞在接受美中时报记者采访时说：“作为美籍华人，为了铭记美中历史友谊，为了让战争不再发生，为了维护人类和平，我愿意把美国飞虎队这座历史的桥梁架在太平洋上，让美中两国人民之间的友谊更加通畅。”

“FLYING TIGERS AT WAR II” will be filmed in theUnited States and DominicanRepublic next year
FLYING TIGERS AT WAR II, a historical film ofU.S.-China friendship that has been in preparation for years, will be filmed inthe United States and DominicanRepublic next year to presentto the Hollywood International Film Festival in Santo Domingo.

Wang told the reporter of SINO US Times at the U.S. Air Force's"Remembering Heroes" historical photo exhibition to commemorated the80th anniversary of the Flying Tigers and America’s Second World War AirDefense of China, which held at the Bumblebee Aircraft Carrier Museum inAlameda, East Bay on November 13.
The full name of "Flying Tigers" is "AmericanVolunteer Group of the Chinese Air Force", It is called “Flying Tigers” bythe Chinese because of the tiger team logo with wings painted on its fuselage.Chennault, the founder of the Flying Tigers, is known as the Flying TigersGeneral. The film "FLYING TIGERS AT WAR II" is based on theheroic deeds of Chennault and his "Flying Tigers".
Ronald Fogleman, a retired four-star general and former chiefof U.S. Air Force, said at the opening ceremony of the "RememberingHeroes" historical photo exhibition on November 13th to commemorate the80th anniversary of the Flying Tigers and America’s Second War Air Defense ofChina. The photos included not only the pilots of United State but also Chinesepeople who supported the Flying Tigers. The Chinese played a key role insupporting the U.S. military. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, the U.S.military considered launching an air strike on Tokyo, allowing pilots to fly toChina to rendezvous with friendly forces. But they were detected by theJapanese and had to leave the carrier early, the result of the crash parachute,but 80 pilots survived, because the Chinese were willing to take risks torescue escorts. Even in Japanese-occupied areas, the Chinese had to get thepilots to safety. On the other hand, leaping over the Hump route, Chineseassisted in the transshipment of strategic goods, which was essential tosustain China's war.
Fogelman said the Flying Tigers' main role is not just toshoot down the number of Japanese aircraft, but also to make two contributions.First, before and after the attack on Pearl Harbor and the bombing of Tokyo,the United States was thinking about how to intervene in World War II. TheFlying Tigers' heroic feats, which were widely reported in the newspapers,reversed the mental isolation of the entire American public, and the FlyingTigers boosted American morale of the United State.
Second, the underappreciated contributions of the FlyingTigers and the Chinese people and the army are to contain the Japanese forces.Between 1940 and 1945, the Japanese had a total strength of 5.5 million troops,1.6 million of whom were in the occupied northeast and south China. Because theChinese army did not surrender, did not give up, it meant that when the Alliesbegan to approach Tokyo, When General MacArthur arrived in Japan from theSouth-West Pacific, the 1.6 million Japanese troops were tied up and could notbe used to fight on the Japanese mainland.

"As a Chinese-American, in order to remember thehistorical friendship between the United States and China, in order to preventwar from happening again, and to maintain human peace, I am willing to put the FLYINGTIGERS AT WAR II as a historical bridge in the Pacific Ocean, so that thefriendship between the peoples of the United States and China will be moresmooth," Dr. James P. Wang said in an interview with SINO US Times.”
