Deputy Secretary Sherman Swears in Ambassador Burns

       Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman swore in Nicholas Burns as the U.S. Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., on January 25, 2022.

       Deputy Secretary Sherman said on Twitter：”Today I was honored to swear in Nicholas Burns, our newly confirmed Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. Ambassador Burns will be a strong voice protecting and advancing U.S. interests in our relationship with the PRC, and I look forward to working with him again.”
